Advocacy groups and resource lists

  • The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA)
promotes the development of wind energy technology by watchdogging relevant political
happenings in Washington DC, and also through public education.
  • The IGC’s list of WWWeb windpower
sites is an excellent list of windpower resources of all types. It’s a very long and very
complete list; start here if you know what you’re looking for but don’t know where to find
    it.
  • NREL’s National Wind Technology Center (NWTC).
This site contains some very informative maps showing the wind resources of the U.S.

"Whisper" wind turbine. Their WWWeb page has lots of information about their
products (as you’d expect), but they have also included a lot of general information about
wind power systems design and applications.

zond.gif (44073 bytes)Zond makes BIG wind turbines. This company
is very highly regarded, and there are some very neat pictures on their web site.
